Mid-Western Educational Research Association

The call for proposals is now out for our 2018 Annual Meeting in Cincinnati!

Are you looking for an organization where you can have quality exchanges of research and ideas with colleagues from schools, universities, and other educational organizations? If so, consider joining the Mid-Western Educational Research Association! Educational researchers across North America return to MWERA’s Annual Meeting to renew acquaintances, make new contacts, and engage in exciting conversation in a supportive, collegial atmosphere.

Membership in MWERA is open to teachers, administrators, graduate students, and educational researchers or professionals from any school, college, or university; from business or industry; or from governmental or private agencies and organizations.  The annual dues (January-December) include regular updates from the organization and the MWER journal, and opportunities to share your research with other MWERA members.

Our Mission: The mission of the Mid-Western Educational Research Association is threefold: 1) to disseminate educational research conducted in the central states and provinces of North America; 2) to promote a collegial research culture in the region; and 3) to provide a forum for mentoring the research skills of graduate students and junior faculty members.

Call for Editors: Proposals are currently being sought for the Editorship of the Mid-Western Educational Researcher (MWER). The MWER is an online journal and the quarterly publication of the Mid-Western Educational Research Association (MWERA). MWER can be accessed through the "Our Journal" link at mwera.org. The journal serves the dual functions of providing MWERA members with timely information about the organization and providing a vehicle for dissemination of scholarly work in education or education-related fields.
